SUSTAINABILITY
At Rob Lawes Entertainments Ltd, we are committed to operating our business in a responsible and sustainable way while delivering high-quality wedding and event entertainment across the UK.
As a service-based business, our environmental impact is relatively low, however we continually look for practical ways to reduce our footprint and operate efficiently.
Efficient transport
We work with a local team of professional DJs, reducing unnecessary travel wherever possible. Equipment is transported efficiently and vehicles are maintained to ensure optimal fuel usage.
Energy-efficient equipment
We use modern, energy-efficient LED lighting and professional sound equipment designed to deliver excellent performance with lower power consumption.
Long-life equipment and waste reduction
We invest in high-quality equipment with a long lifespan, reducing the need for frequent replacements. Equipment is repaired where possible rather than replaced, and obsolete items are recycled responsibly.

Paperless operations
Bookings, contracts, planning forms, and invoices are handled digitally to minimise paper usage.
Venue-led working
Where venues provide in-house infrastructure such as sound systems or power solutions, we adapt our setup to reduce duplication of equipment and energy usage.
Ongoing review
We keep our working practices under review and aim to make sensible improvements where they are practical, proportionate, and appropriate for a professional events business.
CARBON REDUCTION
Emissions Overview
Our primary sources of carbon emissions are:
-
Travel to and from wedding venues
-
Transportation of professional sound and lighting equipment
-
Electricity usage during events
Our baseline understanding is based on estimated activity across recent wedding seasons, which is appropriate for a business of our size.
Reduction Approach
We aim to reduce emissions per event over time by:
-
Using a local team of DJs to minimise long distance travel
-
Planning routes and logistics efficiently
-
Using modern, energy efficient LED lighting and professional audio equipment
-
Investing in high quality equipment with long service life and repairing where possible
-
Operating largely paperless through digital contracts, planning forms, and invoicing
-
Adapting our setup to use venue provided infrastructure where available
Ongoing Review
This Carbon Reduction Plan is reviewed periodically and updated where practical, in line with business operations and industry best practice.
